Stunning Meermaid Dress!

As i like vintage Dresses i get me a new one, and for less than 400L i was very sceptic first if it will look nice. But after get it dressed! Its looking stunning. That type of Mermaid Dress is normally worn in the 1950s or the early 60s. Some famous filmstars like Marily Monroe also like that type - but i have some special fetish on that, you should see the underwear :)

Started when i read some interesting story at staylace.com called 10 Pound per Inch.

A bit of shopping

Yes again some shopping results from the last days. First one is a early 60s wiggle dress from Vita Bella Vintage Fashion   - yes indeed there is some similarty to the famous dresses from Joan Holloways Dresses out of Mad Men. The dress is called Holly Wiggle Dress, and slo available in Navy, Violet and Red. Pric 299 L$.

And as i was in shopping mood i get me some new more classical High Heels from VVB Stiletto Heels. Maybe not so classical with a 6 inch heel: Court 6 inch in Black available for 250 L$

 This black dress, which makes everybody slim :), comes from a new discovery: Agnes Finney--My Precious - which has a lot of more stunning creations. The dress itself is black nothing, best work without any underware. Around 700 Lindens and called Annette.

 Agnes Eileen ist the name of this knee lengt dress also from Agnes Finney also around 700 Lindens. As mentioned in that shop you will find a lot of more creations, i had to TP away quickly not to get bankrupt in short time.

Last but not least a nice late 40s, earlies 50s, tight skirt from Ivalde called Roberta for 300L$. I like a especially the hat with the little neat net in front, that and thats not self-evident matches perfectly...

Today a bit more fashion and travel around the world

Today was time for sp,e shopping, this time my mood was to buy something more modern, but still classic. First picture shoes some nice red dress from a shop called Jazmyn D - price was something around 200 L$, dont remember it exactly :)

Besides the belt, which moves depending on the AO a bit around, a very nice and stylish looking Dress. After getting the dress, some new hair style was also necessary. In this case it comes from Exile. Also around 200L$ and is called Exile Laurie Blue.

And as its summer some sunglasses would be also nice, from the marketplace for 200L$. Which have changeable colours for the glasses, and also for some parts of the frame.

And while beeing in that Jazmyn D shop, discoverd there also a cute freebee, not always freebees have to be bad :)

Steam the Hunt 5

There is so much ongoing currently, that i nearly missed the steampunk, and therefore in some areas also victorian inspired Hunt: Steam - the Hunt 5. The second time this year this hunt is running. If you want to take part you have to hurry, last day will be the 30th of September. Some friends sent me some informations about a few cute things to get there for free, mostly furnitures.

A quite good looking 30s inspired dress is this from Curious Seamstress @ The Carrington in Seraph City. I will have later (when Lindens return) a look in some other creations from them, especially the edwardian ones look nice. Picture taken at my place: Beauty-Parade.

50s dressing for Christine

Today some pictures from some vintage, retro inspired dresses we get for Christine (yes sometimes she forgets her implants). First one is a waitress dress from QRQUIDEA called Cute Cookie Skirt, perfect dress to be a bit naughty at the grill and in the Diner. (Prince 450L$) Combined here with some 6inch Heels from VvB, maybe a bit high for a working Waitress, but she has to know in the evening what she has done. Hair comes from MrS** Hair.

One of the best places to get vintage dresses from several decades, and mentionend here already on this Blog is IVALDE. This colorfull petticoat dress, ideal a daily dress for the well-groomed houswife is called Katinka Pink Dress. Price: 350L$, also available in 5 other basic colours. Shoes from N-Core called Femme in White.

This creation comes also from Ivalde: Jessamine Dress, yellow, for 350L$. also nice for the vintage housewife, but surely to good looking for only staying at home.

You may ask what she wears under the dress? Of course some kind of foundatian garnment, from Tiny's Lingerie Shop, called Ada Set. Which consists out of a highwaist panty girdle, a well controlling Bra, and some nice Nylon Stockings. Price for the complete set: 335L$.

More for the sunday, or perfect for the secretary to go out is this more tight combination again from Ivalde called Roberta in White and Black, with a neat hat that matches also quite good on the hair (which is often an issue with hat's), and a neat net in front of the hat. Stunning dress for 300L$.

But there is more in life than only beeing a good housewife, a busy secretary, or other things that happen. Something for the beach is the  Jeanette bikini (150L$) from Artilleri. Also available in 7 other colours.

A must have in RL

While looking through some fasion websites today i discoverd a real RealLife must-have! This stockings look absolute stunning, notice the neat sensual wording that spells out a tantalising message at the seam - which give this classic vintage style a special kick. The postive effects of region restarts...

We all know the sometimes annoying region restarts, when Linden Labs restarts the server of a region, for maintenance reasons. Besides this maintenance as it affects only one region, and is in general shorter, then maintenance windows in other online worlds, mostly the restarts happen in the wrong moment. The first kiss in your avatar life will surely interrupted by a restart :) But somtimes it has it advantages. Yesterday we hide to a shop called ICING - and what happend?  I won three dresses and a bathing suit on the local lucky chair. As you are able to grab them yourself, you only have to have enough patience, a short presentation here...

First dress is called Coquette, available in two different styles, one version on the first picture, the variation on the second. Shoes and Boots both from N-Core.

The second outfit is perfect for a day at the beach: A beach dress including the necessary bathing suit. This dress is called Skipper.

Shopping again...

I am definitly a shopahaloic :) - even there will be never the time to wear all dresses, stunnings designs have to wander to my wardrobe. In SL thats even a bit a easier as in Real Live.

First dress is a corset dress, i know it looks a bit like the other mermaid, dresses but this has a nice lacing on the backside. Maybe a bit tight for the unexperienced tightlacer :) ... i still feel my breath very shortened when wearing this dress. Therefore this time also a second picture with a view to my back. The dress comes from a shop
called Schadenfreude - also availabe in three other colors. Price L$500. Every dress has several options you can wear it, as long mermaid style dress, knee-length dress, overbust or underbust corset.

Second new outfit i get for my self is a bit more vintage 1950's styled. All parts of the Dress come from Artilleri a shop specialiasied in Retro and Rockabilly clothes.

Shirt: Darla top in red (also available in seven other colors): L$120L.

As i like pencil skirts the most i added the Gina Highwaist Pencil Skirt also for L$120 also seven other colors are available.

And it was time for again some new hair. Also in 50s style with a nice drapery with up to 60 different colors called Trixie for L$200 from Artilleri also.

The pictures were taken at a Vintage 1950s styled BDSM sim, yes finally found one called Dom/meberry.

Last but not least it was also time for one more victorian dress. From a new shopping discovery i made called Steambound which covers  clothing, corsetry, gowns, ensembles, mostly Victorian, Steampunk, and Gothic styles, but you can also find some leather, BDSM, and contemporary styles. The dress you see on the picture is called Elizabeth and available for L$350 (without the parasol that i get longer time ago from some other place).

Some more new vintage dresses

As said in my last posting about vintage dresses, i planned to buy some more dresses from Ivalde Vintage Fashion - and as i like to shop it takes not long until that happens.

First new dress is called Lorelei Teal Dress, a neat 50s Houndstooth Style Suit with nice calf long pencil dress. I like especially the realy tight belt around the waist, witch could match perfectly to the corset that is maybe worn under the dress. Price for this suit: 300L$ - availabe in four different colours

Second vintage dress is a more 40s style suit, with a nice line of buttons the hem of the skirt is slightly higher than on the 50s dress but still covers your knees.

Together with that i "visited" the hairdresser and found some nice hairstyles that match to vintage fashion at Amacci called Jessica and Viola both for 200L$ and certainly available in a huge selection of different colours. I like blonde the most :)

Fashion update

Yes it is time for a fashion update again. My closet again gets a bit bigger. This time fashion shoot was a bit cold, especiall when beeing nearly naked with a new corset in the snow. I like underbust corsets as they are not interfering with any shoulder straps that been maybe shown while wearing a shoulder free dress.

Foundation Garnments - Part 3

Its some months ago i started to present you the best unmentionables i found so far, that give the right support and style for the female body. When you look a bit through this Blog you will find more about the importance of that.

The first outfit is a full body corselette which i nearly like most as it gives you a extraorninary shape, and as a lot of my underwear it comes from a shop called Tiny's. The shoes wearing on this picture are also new. I like nude coloured shoes a lot, especially the ones of nowadays fashion. The hair is also new and has a nice 60s touch in my view.

Some shopping results

Had not much time for shopping in the last days,
besides my closet is already big enough there is, but often you can resist to get something. In this posting i will start with some corsets, and i found in my inventory some skirt that matches perfectly under the corset. So no reason to wear these always only as underwear, as they are so nice to be shown. The first on the right side (maybe a bit bad seeable on the swing) comes as second one from Blacklace. The black one, called Sublime and around 350 L$, including garters and stockings of course is a SL replica of a corset from Vollers.

Not quite sure which one of the original ones it is, was written sometimes somwhere but i lost that information. Could be maybe that on the left picture.

The second one is also from Blacklace and also a replica from a Vollers corset. The corset is called stunning and in the same price range as the above one.

Even i have enough shoes, but can you have ever enough, was looking for some ancle boots that match to that. And found some nice one at VVB, maybe the heel with 7 inches is a bit high for untrained wearers. The boots are called VvB VINTAGE Calf Boot - Price 500L$ and changeable in different colours.

Last but not least. some it looks like leather, office skirt, that i like also. It comes in different skirt lenghts (the shown on the picture is the larger above the knee version, which i like in general more than short skirts), and also in a trouser version. Creator is a shop called: Designing Nicky Ree - and the dress is called Diana. The price i dont remember, as i orderd it sometimes over the marketplace.

The Wash is doing a Retro Fair, starting tomorrow. All items you can get there are around 10L - so really a bargin.

A Fashion Update

Besides i am a bit busy in real life currently - there is always time to go shopping. Here a update with new dresses i get in the last weeks. This time i take the pictures with some debutants or inmates of the Vintage Sanatorium . The first picture with Chrissi, who finally found the way to become a Lady, more or less (maybe more on that later). I am in the black long dress on the right from SF Design Ladies Clothing - called Mimi Suit - in a bit 40s style. Added some new oxford heels from VVB to this style. And found also some new nice hair, which is not only vintage style. I also get new nails, and jewlery. Chrissing is wearing a dress from Ivalde.
